Two divisions that have yet to get started with its state softball tournaments in Ohio will finally get to do so Saturday.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Division I and Division II state semifinals get under way on Saturday at Akron’s Firestone Stadium.
Division II will get things started at 10 a.m. ET, as Painesville Riverside (25-4) squares off against Massillon Perry (14-15). Then in the other semifinal, at 12:30 p.m. ET, Whitehouse Anthony Wayne (25-5) takes on Mount Vernon (26-2).
The winners of those two games will then face off at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday for the Division II championship.
In the Division I semifinals, Centerville (17-13) takes on Massillon Jackson (21-8) at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday. Then at 5:30 p.m. ET, Lancaster (28-2) faces off against Lebanon (26-4).
Those two semifinal winners will face one another at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday for the Division I championship.
Two other championship games are on tap for this weekend, as the Division III title game is set for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, while the Division IV championship takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday.
