The second day of the Iowa high school baseball tournament saw Class 2A and 4A hit the diamonds in Carroll and Sioux City for quarterfinal round action.
Four games in each bracket were played under sweltering heat that hit the state.

Here are some of the top individual performances from the second day of games. This post will be updated throughout the conclusion of games:
Class 4A
- Jaxton Schroeder, Iowa City High: Schroeder had a triple with two hits and two runs scored while also striking out five over three-plus.
- Drew Nye, Iowa City High: Nye hit a two-run homer to help the Little Hawks top Waukee, 5-3.
- Will Biggs, Waukee: Biggs was 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
- Tyler Schamberger, Cedar Rapids Prairie: Schamberger had three hits with a double, driving in a run and scoring once.
- Collin McClintock, Cedar Rapids Prairie: McClintock was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
- Jack Hilgenberg, Waukee Northwest: Hilgenburg had a two-RBI pinch-hit in a 4-1 victory.
- Jackson Hatler, Bettendorf: Hatler went the distance, striking out nine while allowing just two hits and no earned runs in a 2-1 win.
- Landon Potts, Bettendorf: Potts drove in a pair to lead the Bulldogs.
Class 2A
- Garrett Luett, Underwood: Luett needed just 81 pitches to get through seven innings, striking out six with no walks and three hits allowed.
- Gavin Miles, Underwood: Miles hit a three-run homer to account for all three runs in a 3-0 win over Cascade.
- Braeden Bosma, Unity Christian: Bosma shined in relief, striking out five without allowing a hit to secure a save in a 5-1 win.
- Brady Boogerd, Unity Christian: Boogerd helped his team to a victory, recording two hits with a pair of RBI and a run scored.
- Keegan Evans, Chariton: Evans helped his team stun Van Meter, driving in three in a 7-6 win.
- Cole Moore, Van Meter: Moore had a triple, a double and drove in two runs.
- JJ Phillips, Pleasantville: Phillips drove in a pair with a home run, going 2-for-3.
