After a thrilling victory in the opening match, Australia will look for the series win when they clash against South Africa in the 2nd T20I match on Tuesday.

The Australia men's cricket team are currently flying high with their record-breaking performance in the shortest format. They defeated South Africa by 17 runs in the series opener and extended their winning streak to 9 matches.

Australia, despite losing 6 wickets for 75 in their first innings, the power-hitting machine Tim David made a blistering cameo of 83 runs from just 52 balls and took the team to a challenging total on a tough surface. Later, they restricted South Africa to just 161 for 9 in their innings and sealed a comfortable victory. Ben Dwarshius and Josh Hazlewood both took three wickets each.

South Africa, meanwhile, was already blown away by the aggressive batting style from the home team. They dropped four catches in the matches, including a crucial one of Tim David, who was batting at 56 then. The Proteas had a lack of batting intent in this match; except for Ryan Rickelton's 71, no other batter stood up for the team. Kwena Maphaka, 19, was a standout bowler from the team, scalping four wickets in his bowling spell.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Australia vs. South Africa 2nd T20I predicted XIs, team news

Mitchell Marsh has been fantastic in his recent T20I records, winning 22 out of the last 25 T20I matches as full-time Australian captain. However, his recent form might seem like a concerning factor for the team, but he will aim to bounce back after a morale-boosting victory in the series opener.

Australia's batting lineup got strengthened with the addition of opening batter Travis Head, but he failed to shine on his return match. Cameron Green, as usual, took the middle-order responsibilities on his shoulder and played a good cameo. While Australia was just 75 for 6 in the opening match, Tim David yet again played a crucial knock. Glenn Maxwell, who opened on the West Indies tour, moved to number 7 and played a vital role with his fielding efforts.

On the bowling front, Josh Hazlewood led the pace attack along with Ben Dwarshuis and Nathan Ellis. Adam Zampa continued as the full-time spinner, playing a crucial role along with part-timer Maxwell.

Australia has everything clear; they are unlikely to make major changes for the second match.

Australia predicted XI: Mitchell Marsh (c), Tim David, Josh Inglis (wk), Mitchell Owen, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa.

As for South Africa, they don't have any fresh injury concerns going into the second match; however, they would like to work on their batting intent. Ryan Rickelton was one of the only standout performers from the batters.

Restricting Australia to 75 for 6 at one time might have given them a moral boost, but their lack of variations in the death overs and not being aggressive in batting cost them the first match. Kwena Maphaka, 19, outclasses everyone with his performance. The teenage prodigy took four wickets and became the youngest bowler to scalp a four-wicket haul in T20Is.

Lungi Ngidi led South Africa's pace attack, while Kagiso Rabada and Maphaka joined as the supporting bowlers. The Proteas either need to improvise in their death bowling attack or adopt a more aggressive batting approach in the next match. They have a firm squad available; they can bring in another spinner, Nqaba Peter, in the second match and rest either Corbin Bosch or Senuran Muthusamy.

South Africa predicted XI: Aiden Markram (c), Ryan Rickelton (wk), Kagiso Rabada, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Tristan Stubbs, George Linde, Senuran Muthusamy, Nqaba Peter, Dewald Brevis, Lungi Ngidi, Kwena Maphaka.
