Livvy Dunne-Babe Ruth apartment, explained
On Tuesday, Dunne revealed to her TikTok followers that she attempted to put a bid in to purchase a hulking apartment in the Upper West Side, said to be owned by the Sultan of Swat himself, Babe Ruth.
Dunne reportedly offered to pay for the apartment in cash and even brought boyfriend Paul Skenes to the dwelling. The home features three bedrooms, 2 1/2-bathrooms, and glint hardwood floors. Ruth's original apartment reportedly included 12 rooms. He lived at the site from 1920 to 1940, sharing the residence with his second wife, Claire Merritt Ruth, and their adopted daughter, Julia Ruth Stevens.
The seller of the apartment reportedly accepted Dunne's proposal, but the co-op board that governs the building Ruth's apartment is in reportedly rejected the offer without explanation.
"For all I know, they could have been Alabama fans and I went to LSU," Dunne said. "I have no clue. Maybe they didn't want a public figure living there. But I was literally supposed to get the keys, and that week they denied me."
