The Boston Marathon has completed 129th annual competition. As always, the race was be held on Patriots' Day.

This year's winners included John Korir of Kenya for the men's, who overcame an early fall at the start to finish with a time of 02:04:45. Sharon Lokedi from Kenya won from the women's group, finishing with a time of 2:17:22.   

The 26.2-mile race is one of the biggest events for runners and fans from across the nation, but it is a particular source of pride for the Boston community. The race will begin at 9 a.m. ET and take a route through the heart of the city, starting in Hopkinton and ending on Boylston Street.
