In what could be one of the best interleague series of the entire 2025 MLB season, Alex Bregman and the Boston Red Sox will host Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Fenway Park this weekend.
The reigning-champion Dodgers have been one of the top teams in the majors all season. The Red Sox started a bit slow, but they were the hottest team in the bigs entering the MLB All-Star break. If Boston can win this massive series, it could position itself near the top of the AL East for the first time in a while.
Entering July, the Dodgers had the best record in the National League. That has since changed, as Los Angeles scuffled against the Brewers before and after the All-Star Game and suffered through a 2-10 stretch. The young-gunning Red Sox, meanwhile, just enjoyed a 13-3 stretch. We could be in for quite the battle.
