The best of the now versus the best of the past. The Nebraska volleyball Alumni Match will be a showstopper this season.
Matches in Lincoln are always good, but the Alumni Match is a fan-favorite as new and experienced Husker fans alike have the chance to watch their favorites take the court yet again. This year, that includes national champions like Lauren Stivrins and Kelly Hunter as well as Olympian Jordan Larson, AKA the Governor.
The game will be the second of two preseason exhibition matches for Nebraska, the first being the Red-White intrasquad scrimmage. There's only one chance to see legends put on the Husker jersey again, though, and that's on August 16.
Not only is the match a chance for fanatics to see the 2025 squad take the court, but it kicks off the Dani Busboom Kelly era. The Nebraska alumni and former Louisville head coach replaced legendary John Cook after his retirement this spring. A national champion herself, there was no one more suitable for the role than DBK.

Nebraska volleyball 2025 schedule
The Nebraska volleyball 2025 season kicks off with two preseason exhibitions – the Red-White scrimmage and the Alumni match.
The regular season begins August 22 with AVCA First Serve matches against Pitt and Stanford and concludes on November 29 by hosting Ohio State.
