History will be made in Mexico this June, when NASCAR holds its first-ever Cup Series race in Mexico City. This groundbreaking event — which has been in the works for years — has become quite the hot ticket in the racing world.
Stock car races in the NASCAR Cup Series will be held annually at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico starting this summer. The name of the race is the Viva México 250.

After multiple attempts to host a Cup Series race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve had failed, NASCAR began working with Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez officials to host a Cup Series race in Mexico.
On August 27, 2024, the Viva México 250 was officially announced to be held on June 15, 2025, becoming the first points paying Cup Series race to be held outside the United States since 1958.

The festivities kick off at 8:00 a.m. at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Friday, June 13, but the main race will be held on Sunday, June 15. Three-day passes start for $69. Sunday-only tickets are going for $50.
