The Falcons will be looking to replace the Buccaneers as the new class of the NFC South in 2025, and the two squads will clash in a season-opening rivalry game on the first Sunday of the new season. Tickets have been flying all summer for this divisional tilt in Atlanta, which could ultimately have plenty of playoff implications.

Atlanta will be guided by the stud trio of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London. However, the Bucs still have plenty of firepower of their own, with QB Baker Mayfield, running back Bucky Irving and wideouts Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka.

The Bucs won the division for a fourth straight year in 2024, all the while ranking top-four in the NFL in points and total yards. Tampa won six of its last seven games of the season to seal the NFC South crown and then narrowly lost 23-20 to Jayden Daniels and the Commanders in the Wild Card round.

The Falcons, meanwhile, won eight games despite Kirk Cousins leading the NFL in interceptions. Atlanta finished top-six in the NFL in yards and averaged nearly 23 points per game, but Raheem Morris probably should have handed the reigns to Penix earlier than Week 15. The second-year man will captain the ship from the start of the season this time around, and the buzz in the A is palpable.
