Kershaw looks for his fifth win of the season to go with 3,000 strikeouts, the latter cementing his status as a Hall of Famer. He would become the 20th pitcher to reach the record.
The 37-year-old will have plenty of offense to help him out throughout the season. Shohei Ohtani may repeat as the NL MVP, while Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Will Smith have produced for the Dodgers.
