Athlos is here to prove that women's track and field is a year-round event. The competition will set up for the second time when it heads to New York City this October.
Founded by Alexis Ohanian, the event was named after the Greek word for athletics. Athlos's goal is to highlight the best female athletes every year, not just during the Olympics.
Athlos NYC is not just a meet but a festival, too, as a musical artist will perform after the competition. Last year, it was Megan Thee Stallion, and this year's possibilities are endless.
The meet will all go down at Icahn Stadium, an intimate stadium on Randalls Island. Headlining the 2025 competition include Tara Davis-Woodhall, Gabby Thomas and more of the best runners and hurdlers in the world.
