Ben Shelton will look to win his maiden ATP 1000 Masters when he faces Karen Khachanov in the final of the Canadian Open on Thursday.

Shelton registered a convincing 6-3, 6-4 victory over compatriot and World No. 4 Taylor Fritz to make it to his first-ever ATP 1000 final. On the other hand, Khachanov had to rough it out against top seed Alexander Zverev, winning the semifinal 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. 

Shelton won their only previously clash so far, a Round of 32 match at Indian Wells earlier this year.
