Madison Keys' 2025 French Open campaign came to an end at the hands of compatriot and World No. 2 Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

The 2025 Australian Open champion defeated fellow American Hailey Baptiste 6-3, 7-5 in the quarterfinal to extend her winning streak in grand slams. However, she lost 7-6, 4-6, 1-6 to Gauff in the next round and bowed out of the tournament.

The 30-year-old started the season on a high as she defeated grand slam winners Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Elena Rybakina en route to glory.

After being under the radar for years, the reigning Australian Open champion called her slam victory the "greatest but the most exhausting thing" she's ever done in her career.

French Open 2025 tournament schedule

Play gets underway 11 a.m. local time (5 a.m. ET) on all courts, except for Court Philippe Chatrier most days as the action starts an hour later on the showpiece court.

From May 25 until June 6, Chatrier will also host one singles match during the night session starting at 2:15 p.m. ET.

Madison Keys French Open results

Madison Keys made her French Open debut as an 18-year-old in 2013 and has played every year since.

In the singles, Keys hasn't had much success, but her best performance came in 2018, when she reached the semifinals. During the final four clash, she was knocked out by fellow American Sloane Stephens 4-6, 4-6.

Keys has taken part in the doubles thrice, with her best performance coming in a 2022 semifinal finish with partner Taylor Townsend. Star American duo Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula knocked them out 4-6, 6-7 this time around.
