Southampton say farewell to the English top-tier for at least a season as the relegated side host Arsenal at St. Mary's Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Saints' stay in the Premier League has lasted just a year after having been promoted from the Championship last season. Ivan Juric was sacked last month by the Saints as they looked to be headed for Derby County's record for the fewest points in a season in the English top tier.

Southampton have played six games under Simon Rusk but are yet to win a game under the interim boss. However, with draws against Manchester City and West Ham, the Saints have risen up to 12 points and have successfully avoided the unwanted Premier League record.

Arsenal's Premier League title battle has faltered for the third straight season as Mikel Arteta's side lacked the killer edge to fully challenge eventual champions Liverpool. Nonetheless, they have confirmed their place in next season's Champions League and are already focusing on next season, with reports of a move for Viktor Gyokeres and Rodrygo.

Their recent form has not been disappointing to say the least, as their last five games in all competitions have only seen them take one victory. The win came last week against Newcastle United as the Gunners beat the Magpies 1-0 via a second-half goal from Declan Rice. Arteta will be hoping that his side can end the rather disappointing season on a high.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Southampton vs. Arsenal predicted lineups, team news

Rusk is unlikely to tinker with his line-up too much in the Saints' final game of the season. Nathan Wood will likely make way for Jan Bednarek, while Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who went off injured in the loss against Everton, will make way for Joachim Kayi Sanda.

Tyler Dibling has been the only bright spot for Southampton in a disappointing year; however, the 19-year-old will likely say his farewell to the St. Mary's faithful, with Manchester United and Chelsea hot on his trail.

Southampton predicted lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Ramsdale (GK) — Stephens, Bednarek, Sanda— Bree, Ugochukwo, Downes, Welington — Dibling, Fernandes — Sulemana.

Injured: Bazunu (meniscus).
Suspended: None.

Kai Havertz (hamstring) was expected to be out for the season after he underwent surgery in February. However, the German forward is set to return to action for the Gunners' final game of the season.

Defenders William Saliba and Jurrien Timber are set to miss the Southampton clash, and Ben White will start at right-back for the Gunners, while Riccardo Calafiori may start centrally.

Mikel Merino was suspended for Arsenal's Newcastle win but will return to the squad for the St. Mary's clash and may replace Declan Rice, who is said to be struggling with a knock.

Jorginho and Kieran Tierney are expected to leave Arsenal this summer and will make their final Arsenal appearances against Southampton, and could come off the bench early in the second half.

Arsenal predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Raya (GK) — White, Kiwior, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly — Odegaard, Partey, Merino — Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.

Injured: Gabriel (hamstring), Jesus (knee), Saliba (hamstring), Timber (ankle), Tomiyasu (knee).
Suspended: None.
