Viewers of USA's World Cup Round of 16 loss to the Netherlands experienced a whirlwind of emotions.
The USA came out looking strong and appeared to do a strong job controlling possession. Christian Pulisic had an early shot at scoring a goal, but fired it right at the keeper for the stop. Then on one of the Dutch's first possessions, they were able to take advantage and score a goal.
In the minute of stoppage time before the half, the Netherlands added another goal to stun the Americans and take a 2-0 lead.
It wasn't until midway through the second half that USA scored, when Haji Wright directed a tipped shot from Christian Pulisic on to goal 76 minutes into the match. But just five minutes later, Denzel Dumfries scored a third to bury the United States and eliminate them from the World Cup.
