Chelsea’s summer rebuild is still in full swing. With Enzo Maresca preparing for his second Premier League season in charge, the club is not done dealing in the transfer market.

The Blues have already welcomed several new arrivals, but more movement — both in and out — could come before they face Crystal Palace this Sunday.

Chelsea have enjoyed a strong pre-season, winning against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan. New signings Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Estevao Willian have all shown early promise.

But with Champions League football back on the schedule, the squad still needs fine-tuning. And in transfer terms, fine-tuning at Chelsea usually means big deals right up to the deadline.

Four transfers Chelsea could complete before Crystal Palace opener

One of the headline pursuits is RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons. Talks have been ongoing, and there’s even talk of a swap involving Christopher Nkunku.

Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the situation, but Chelsea hope to get this one over the line.

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho is another name linked. The winger is reportedly available after falling out of favor at Old Trafford. His pace and direct style could fit Maresca’s plans.

The club may also move for another central defender. Levi Colwill’s ACL injury has left a gap despite the signing of Jorrel Hato. Any incoming here might depend on a sale, with Trevoh Chalobah one possible departure.

The fourth possible deal could actually be an exit. Nicolas Jackson has been linked with Newcastle United, who might target him if they lose Alexander Isak. Chelsea could cash in if the offer meets their valuation.

Chelsea’s squad already looks strong, but a few more smart moves could make them even harder to stop. The countdown to Palace is ticking — and so is the transfer clock.
