Arsenal are yet to wrap up a deal in this transfer window, but they are expected to land multiple players this summer, as it is going to be a make-or-break window for Mikel Arteta, who is eager to bring reinforcements.

As per several reports, the Gunners are keen on reinforcing multiple positions this summer, but a striker and a winger remain priorities for the North Londoners.

They have been linked with Real Madrid star winger Rodrygo Goes multiple times this summer, and his compatriot Gabriel Magalhaes has now added more fuel to the fire.

The Arsenal defender publicly endorsed his name for the club and urged the North Londoners to land him at the Emirates. While he could be a great signing for the Gunners, a move looks difficult at the moment until the player demands to move away from the Spanish capital.

Gabriel appeared on the Podpah Podcast, and there he showered praise on Rodrygo and also shared that he would love to see the youngster feature for Arsenal.

"I don’t. No, I don’t, not really," Gabriel replied when asked about rumours of Rodrygo joining Arsenal.

"But I’d like obviously. Rodrygo is a phenomenon, for me. He’s not at Arsenal… If it depended on me, I’ve told people already, he’s a phenomenon. His name is mentioned a lot. If it was up to me, of course."

Where could Rodrygo end up this summer?

Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Santos and quickly developed into one of the star players for Los Blancos. But that narrative soon changed with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.

The Brazilian reportedly was unsettled by Mbappe's arrival as he took his spot in the starting eleven and pushed Rodrygo to the bench. His minutes have been reduced substantially.

Several reports have suggested that he has gone down the pecking order with Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. hogging most of the limelight at Santiago Bernabeu.

As a result of rumours linking him with a move away from the club, Real Madrid have slapped an €80m (£67.5m) asking fee for the 24-year-old.

Currently, his future depends on manager Xabi Alonso. A couple of days ago, Rodrygo posted a training picture on his social media handles with the caption "Happy". It was an attempt to calm the situation down. But his future depends on Alonso and his discussion for the upcoming season.

If he doesn't get enough minutes and importance in the dressing room, then there could be a possibility of him leaving Santiago Bernabeu for a club like Arsenal. But in that case, plenty of other teams will also enter the race to snap up the Brazil international.
