With Aaron Rodgers officially coming to the Pittsburgh Steelers, it's time to take a look around and see which of his old buddies he could bring with him.
Rodgers is known for lobbying to acquire some of his old targets, with the future Hall of Fame quarterback having a preference to play with wide receivers he's familiar with.
On top of that, the Steelers need more help at wide receiver after the team traded George Pickens, leaving DK Metcalf and a lot of questions in the wide receivers room.
In the wake of the Rodgers signing, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio has made the prediction that the Steelers will trade for New York Jets wideout Allen Lazard.
"Put me down for this," Florio said. "I fully expect, sooner than later, and no later than training camp, the Steelers will trade for Jets receiver Allen Lazard. Been waiting for that to happen."
"(The Steelers have) been waiting to know what Rodgers is going to do," Florio added. "And Lazard, I think, is the perfect complement... The question becomes, what do the Jets want?"

The expectation going into the offseason was that the Jets if the Jets didn't bring Rodgers back, the team would cut or trade Lazard, who signed a four-year, $44 million contract in 2023.
However, Lazard actually took a pay cut to stay in New York, which has led some to believe he may not intend on following Rodgers to Pittsburgh. Adding to that, Lazard posted a cryptic tweet that suggested he wants to stay with the Jets.
While that's all well and good, we still find it hard to believe that Lazard wouldn't want to reunite with Rodgers in Pittsburgh.
After all, Lazard has had his best seasons as a pro with Rodgers throwing him the rock, and the Steelers offer a chance to contend for a playoff spot, something the Jets are highly unlikely to do, and Lazard could have a big role in Pittsburgh, too.
In terms of compensation, the Jets shouldn't be looking for much. The veteran is on the final year of his contract and is coming off a season in which he tallied just 530 receiving yards.
We would suspect Lazard to no more than a fifth-round pick, and even then the Steelers might get a late-round pick back in that exchange.
Lazard isn't the sexy addition Steelers fans might want at wide receiver, but he's a more proven option than Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson, and he's better than Robert Woods at this late stage in his career.
