On Sunday, in the Week 2 preseason game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints, both starting quarterbacks, Trevor Lawrence and Tyler Shough, struggled to find their rhythm in the opening quarter.
Lawrence showed some early promise, completing a 12-yard pass to Brenton Strange under pressure. However, a botched exchange led to a fumble, recovered by Saints defensive tackle Vernon Broughton.

Despite the turnover, Lawrence bounced back on the next drive, completing four of five passes and capping it with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Parker Washington, putting Jacksonville up 7-0.
On the Saints' side, Shough's struggles were evident. Through two drives, New Orleans was unable to secure a first down, accumulating just 21 total yards. Shough was 2-of-4 for 12 yards, including an incomplete deep pass to Chris Olave on a critical third-and-five, which forced a punt.

The Saints' defense has struggled to contain Lawrence and the Jaguars' offense, while New Orleans' offense remains stagnant with negative plays and little momentum.
