When will Steelers vs. Titans be played? COVID-19 cases alter NFL Week 4 schedule image

The Steelers' Week 4 game at the Titans has been postponed to Week 7.

The postponement follows reports throughout the week that add up to 18 positive COVID-19 test results for the Titans. Nine players and nine personnel people have reportedly tested positive since the Titans returned home from their Sunday game in Minnesota.

The NFL was initially hoping to shift the Steelers-Titans game back from its originally scheduled Sunday afternoon start by just a day or two, to either Monday or Tuesday. The Titans had already shut down their facility until Saturday of Week 4, and the movement of the game would depend on further testing. Since tests have kept coming back positive, the game will move until later in the season.

This is the first NFL game postponed due to COVID-19. While the implication is that the Titans must've had players carrying the virus while playing in Minnesota, no Vikings tests have come back positive, and their Week 4 game against the Texans is currently on schedule for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

When will Steelers vs. Titans be played?

The game between the Steelers and Titans has been rescheduled for Week 7 at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 25.

Pittsburgh was scheduled to play the Ravens that week before both teams have their byes in Week 8. Instead, the Steelers and Ravens will move from Oct. 25 to Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. ET.

When do the Titans and Steelers play again?

With the Titans and Steelers now receiving a bye week in Week 4, they're both scheduled to take the field again in Week 5.

The Steelers should have no problem doing so as they haven't dealt with any positive tests. Pittsburgh is scheduled to host the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The Titans will likely need to see the COVID-19 outbreak on their team subside before returning to action. If it does so, Tennessee is set to host the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.
