Bleacher Reports' Jordan Schultz reports that Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell is set to visit the Atlanta Falcons this week on a top-30 visit.

Mitchell has been in the conversation as the top cornerback in the 2024 NFL draft since his exemplary week at this year's Senior Bowl.

With his performance came a realization that Mitchell was more than just a good off-coverage corner. He wins in press-man as well. He showed route recognition, fluid hips and a physicality that rivals Alabama's Terrion Arnold and Clemson's Nate Wiggins. Mix that with his elite physical profile, and he has a case to be the first defensive player off the board.

Atlanta's cornerback room outside A.J. Terrell is second-year cornerbacks Clark Phillips and Natrone Brooks. While Phillips showed flashes last season and Brooks did enough to earn a future/reserve contract this season, they are not answers at the position. Especially if the Falcons look to compete for a Super Bowl as early as next season.

This year's draft has a bevy of offensive talent for the first seven picks, leaving the Falcons with their choice of defensive playmaker to add to the roster. There is a chance that Mitchell is that pick.
