The Ravens kick off their 2025 preseason slate Thursday night under the lights at M&T Bank Stadium, as they play host to the Colts in what should be a lively curtain-raiser.

These two squads have crossed paths 18 times in total, with the Colts holding the edge at 11-7. The last meeting was a nail-biter back in 2023, where Indy escaped with a 22-19 overtime win in Charm City.

On the Ravens' side, new backup quarterback Cooper Rush is set to get plenty of work. With Lamar Jackson locked in as the franchise guy, John Harbaugh wants Rush up to speed in a hurry, which means a heavy dose of snaps this August.

Eyes will also be on rookie tackles Emery Jones and Carson Vinson, as the Ravens start building for the long haul. While Baltimore has its eyes firmly on a Super Bowl run, there’s no time like the present to see what the kids are made of. Expect Harbaugh to toss them straight into the deep end and see if they sink or swim.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen made waves by announcing both Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones will take snaps in this one, a clear sign that the starting quarterback gig is still up for grabs. It's anyone's ballgame under center, and this showdown could go a long way in settling the pecking order.

Tight end Tyler Warren, the 14th overall pick in this year's draft, is expected to get a taste of game speed while building chemistry with both signal-callers. And don't be surprised if rookie running back DJ Giddens carries the lion's share out of the backfield, he's likely to be fed early and often.
