The New England Patriots have to trim their roster from 90 players down to 53 before the deadline on Tuesday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
New England will have a lot of tough decisions to make, as there are talented players who might not have a roster spot when the dust settles, and they could be exposed to waivers. At that point, another team could grab them, or they could opt to re-sign with the Patriots on their practice squad once the 53-man roster is set.
