The Green Bay Packers are looking to build on the Jordan Love era in 2024.

Love passed for 4,159 yards, 32 TDs, and 11 interceptions in his first season as the starter after Aaron Rodgers' departure. Green Bay finished 9-8 under fifth-year coach Matt LaFleur, and it beat the Cowboys 48-32 in the NFC wild-card round before losing 31-24 to the 49ers.

Still, the season was a success and has increased expectations for 2024. Detroit won the NFC North last season, and Chicago and Minnesota made upgrades through the 2024 NFL Draft. The Packers have been the most stable organization among the four, and a lot of that is because of quarterback play.

Green Bay added running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney, and another strong draft by Brian Gutekunst has this team in position to make a playoff run.

The Packers open the season against Philadelphia at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, Sept. 6. The rest of the schedule will be unveiled Thursday night.

Here is a complete breakdown of the Packers' 2024 schedule, including dates, start times, and analysis for their slate of games.

The Packers have a second-place schedule, which means they will face the Saints from the NFC South, Eagles from NFC East, and Dolphins from the AFC East. Green Bay faces teams from the NFC West and AFC South this season.

Green Bay also will play the Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil as part of the NFL's 2024 International Series. The Packers lost 27-22 to the Giants in London on Oct. 9, 2022, the last time they ventured outside the US.

Green Bay has a total of seven games against teams that made the playoffs in 2023-24. Outside the NFC North, those teams are the Dolphins, Eagles, 49ers, Texans, and Rams.

Packers strength of schedule

The Packers rank 19th in strength schedule for the 2024 season, per Sharp Football Analysis. That means they project to have the 14th-hardest schedule in the NFL. This analysis is based on the projected win totals for each of Green Bay's opponents for the upcoming season rather than their records in 2023.

This analysis is based on the projected win totals for each of Green Bay's opponents for the upcoming season rather than their records in 2023.

It is the toughest schedule in the division. The Bears (third easiest) have the easiest schedule. The Vikings (fifth hardest) and Lions (12th hardest) have comparable schedules to the Packers.

Packers prediction 2024

Toughest tests: The 49ers eliminated the Packers from the playoffs last season. The Packers have lost five straight playoff games to the 49ers, but Green Bay has won four of the past five regular-season matchups.

The Rams and Seahawks were both 5-3 at home last season, so those games will be tough, too. Green Bay hasn't won at Seattle since 2008. The Packers have won the past four matchups against the Rams, including the 2020 NFC divisional playoff matchup.

The Packers were 4-5 on the road in the regular season last year, and that included victories against Minnesota and Chicago in the division. Green Bay is 0-3 at Tennessee since the Titans relocated from Houston. That could be a tricky game.

Biggest breaks: Miami was a .500 team on the road last season, and the potential change in weather could be a difference-maker depending on where the game lands on the schedule.

The opener against the Eagles will be unpredictable with the new setting, but at least it counts as a road game. The teams have split their past six meetings, so it feels like a true 50/50 game, which is better than playing a road game at Philadelphia.

The Cardinals, Saints, and Texans combined for a 10-17 road record last season. Those are the games Green Bay needs to lean in on the Lambeau Field advantage, too.

Bottom line: The questions within the division should be fun to see answered in 2024.

Will the Vikings rivalry take on new meaning with J.J. McCarthy? LaFleur is 6-4 against Minnesota since taking over in 2019, but they have split their matchups each of the past four seasons.

Will Green Bay still maintain its dominance of the Bears with Williams in the fold? The Packers are 10-0 against Chicago with LaFleur, and Love was impressive in both starts against the Bears last season. Those games will still be high-intensity.

Still, this division comes down to the Packers and Lions this season. LaFleur is 6-4 against the Lions, but Dan Campbell is 4-2 against the Packers. That includes a 2-1 record at Lambeau Field. Both games were on Thursday last season, with the Lions dominating at Green Bay 34-20 on TNF and the Packers returning the favor with a 29-22 upset at Ford Field on Thanksgiving. Those are the games that will determine who wins the NFC North in 2024.

Love was 5-3 at home and 4-5 on the road last season. There will be a few bumps, but the Packers return to the playoffs with an improved team.

Record prediction: 10-7
