All 16 NFL teams are playing in Week 12 of the season, yet fans are still going to be treated to an unusually thin Sunday slate.

There's a simple reason for that. The NFL's Thanksgiving tripleheader plus the league's new Black Friday showcase has created an opportunity for six stand-alone games in Week 12. That will leave just 10 games to be played on the main slate as a result.

While the Sunday afternoon lineup may be small, there are still plenty of good matchups available for the networks to feature in Week 12. Per usual, CBS and Fox are splitting them down the middle. However, CBS will get a chance to broadcast the doubleheader for a second consecutive week; that means the network will carry games in all regions at both 1 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET while Fox will have just one game regionally in either time slot.

CBS drawing the doubleheader this week is good news for NFL fans, as they have the most interesting game of the late slate. The Eagles are set to host the Bills in a battle of two teams coming off major wins. Philadelphia earned revenge over Kansas City for its Super Bowl loss while the Bills beat the Jets to avenge a Week 1 loss to Gang Green.

Now, the Eagles will look to continue winning while the Bills look to claw their way back into the AFC playoff race. That game will be the prime attraction in the 4:25 p.m. ET window for CBS while Jaguars-Texans and Steelers-Bengals will jockey for supremacy in the early frame.

Meanwhile, Fox's coverage is a bit less intriguing, but there are some important games within each window. The Saints and Falcons will do battle in an early window matchup that will temporarily decide who leads the NFC South, in all likelihood. Later, the Broncos will host the Browns as Denver looks to keep its four-game winning streak alive and work its way into the AFC playoff picture in what should be a grind-it-out defensive battle.

There will be 11 games played on Sunday — the 10 in the NFL's afternoon slate and the "Sunday Night Football" clash between the Ravens and the Chargers.

Meanwhile, "Monday Night Football" will feature a divisional clash between the Vikings and the Bears. Minnesota is looking to bounce back after a one-point loss to the Broncos while Chicago will be looking to upset the Vikings, something that the Bears couldn't do against the Lions in Week 11.

The best game of the main slate will be the Bills-Eagles matchup. The Eagles are fresh off a massive win over the Chiefs while the Bills earned a bounce-back win in their blowout of the Jets. Buffalo is desperate to win to stay in the crowded AFC playoff race, so it will be looking to do something that only the Jets have done during the 2023 season and beat the Eagles.
