The 2024 NFL schedule release has football fans itching for more.
EA Sports is here to feed your fix, providing the NFL's audience with a surprise update on the highly anticipated release of Madden 25.
Even though Madden 25 won't be released until the middle of August, a new snippet of information was revealed along with a major announcement for the return of College Football 25.
The two games will coincide with each other, just as they did back in the day before the NCAA had to do away with college video games.

Madden 25 release date

The Madden 25 release date has not officially been revealed but EA Sports may have given a hint in its College Football 25 announcement.
In the "MVP Bundle" that allows three-day early access to the game, those dates are marked as Aug. 13 to Aug. 15. That would mean Madden 25 is set to release on Aug. 16 — around the same time the game comes out annually.
Last year, Madden 24 dropped on Aug. 18. The year before, it came out on Aug. 19. Expect a similar timing for Madden 25.

The Madden 25 trailer has not been released by EA Sports just yet. Last year, the trailer came out on June 7.
Madden 25 price and College Football 25 'MVP Bundle'

For several years, Madden has released two editions of its product — a standard and deluxe edition.
The standard edition is the cheapest of the two, giving the consumer the game in its simplest form. The deluxe edition is an extra $30 but gives players early access to the game, as well as some virtual currency and collectibles for those who play the Madden Ultimate Team or Madden Superstar game modes.
With the return of College Football 25, EA Sports is offering an "MVP Bundle" that gives football video gamers the deluxe edition of both games for the price of one at $149.99.
The "MVP Bundle" comes with three-day early access for both games, along with a checklist of create-a-player items and Ultimate Team advantages.

Madden 25 player ratings
Madden 25 player ratings will not be revealed until the summer. EA Sports typically does a big rollout for the latest ratings, taking place in mid-July for the last few years.

Gamers who have yet to update their system are in luck, because EA hasn't pulled Madden from older consoles yet.

The cover athlete for Madden 25 has not been revealed.
Last year, EA Sports announced Bills star quarterback Josh Allen as the cover athlete on June 7. Expect an announcement around the same time for Madden 25.

How to play Madden 25 early
EA Sports has announced that anyone who purchases the "MVP Bundle" will get three-day early access to both Madden 25 (Aug. 13-15) and College Football 25 (July 16-18).
Full details have not been announced, but Madden also typically allows early access for gamers who pre-order the deluxe edition of the standalone game.
Last year, anyone who purchased the deluxe edition was able to play three days before the release date.
In addition, fans who subscribe to EA Play traditionally receive 10 hours of early access with their progress carrying over after the full game is released. EA Play currently costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 for a year.
