The Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes will look to rebound from their latest losses when they play against the Patriots in Week 15.

Kansas City is coming off a disappointing loss to Buffalo after which Mahomes was critical of the officials. After an offensive offside call on the Chiefs negated a touchdown, Kansas City lost, 20-17.

The defeat dropped the Chiefs to the third seed in the AFC playoffs behind the Ravens and Dolphins, the latter of whom were upset by the Titans in Week 14. The Chiefs' game against the Patriots was previously scheduled for "Monday Night Football" but was flexed out for Philadelphia at Seattle.

Kansas City cannot afford to drop another game, or Mahomes might be forced to play his first road playoff game this season.

The Patriots had some extra time to prepare for the Chiefs after knocking off the Steelers on Thursday night of Week 14. Quarterback Bailey Zappe threw three touchdown passes and improved to 3-1 as the starter. The Patriots are still on track for the second overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft despite improving to 3-10 on the year.
