The AFC West champion Chiefs finish the regular season on the road against the Chargers on Sunday.

Kansas City has won eighth-straight division titles — the second-longest streak since 1970. The Patriots own the record with 11 consecutive AFC East championships from 2009-19.

The Chiefs also clinched the third seed in the AFC playoff standings behind the Ravens and Dolphins. Kansas City has now made the postseason for nine consecutive years.

The Chiefs could host the Dolphins, Bills, Colts, Texans or Steelers in the first round of the playoffs.

Kansas City is coming off a hard-fought 25-17 victory over the Bengals.

Harrison Butker had a career-best 6 for 6 on field-goal attempts, Patrick Mahomes threw for 245 yards with a touchdown, and Isiah Pacheco ran for a career-high 130 yards.

The Chiefs beat the Chargers 31-17 in Week 7. Mahomes had 424 yards passing and four touchdowns in that game.

Kansas can avoid going 3-3 in the division for the first time since 2014 with a victory.

The Chargers fell to 5-11 with a 16-9 loss to the Broncos. Quarterback Easton Stick made his third straight start with Justin Herbert out for the season.

Los Angeles is in line for a Top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
