NFL agent Brett Tessler reported the Atlanta Falcons signed Northern Illinois offensive lineman Nolan Potter to become an undrafted free agent. Fox Sports' NFC South analyst Greg Auman reported that Potter initially was to attend the Tampa Bay Buccanneers' rookie minicamp before the Falcons swooped in and signed him to be a UDFA.

According to Northern Illinois' official site, Potter started the final 43 of his last 45 games as a Husky, earning All-Mac honors for three straight years, including first-team honors in 2021 and 2022. With his 6'5", 310-pound frame, he seems versatile enough to play on the interior or on the edge. His wealth of experience should be an asset as he joins Richmond's Ryan Coll as the lone offensive linemen additions from the 2024 class of prospects.
