AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb welcome son Tripp (and 'wow is he a long one')

It's a boy! But we knew that.

OK, so the boy is here now. Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron made the announcement Tuesday via Twitter that he and his wife, Katherine, have welcomed their son into the world.

Little man is here. We have a beautiful little boy a part of our family now!! Wow is he a long one. We love you Tripp McCarron #proudparents

McCarron said the boy's name is Tripp.

Speaking of social media, you may know Katherine by her maiden name (Webb) since she and McCarron, married since July 2014, have lived a lot of their adult lives in the social media spotlight and she has chronicled her pregnancy.

She used her Instagram account to announce five months ago that the couple was expecting a boy.

 

AJ and I feel beyond blessed and grateful to FINALLY announce after 4 months we have been keeping a secret! We are having a BOY! Thank you all so much for your prayers for us as it hasn't been an easy journey. We thank God everyday for this wonderful blessing and can't wait to share this journey with all of you!! ❤️

Then on Monday, she foreshadowed her husband's announcement Tuesday: "Big day tomorrow".
