The Indianapolis Colts selected Aubrun cornerback Jaylin Simpson with the No. 164 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

After trading back in the fifth round from the No. 155 pick in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Colts received this pick and the No. 201 pick in the sixth round.

With their third selection in the fifth round of the draft, the Colts finally added a cornerback to the secondary depth chart.

Simpson is a true defensive back having worked both as a free safety and a nickel cornerback during his time at Auburn. Though he's a bit undersized at 5-foot-11 and 179 pounds, he makes up for it with 32 3/8-inch arms.

Simpson ran a 4.45 in the 40-yard dash and added a 39.5-inch vertical and 11-foot-1-inch broad jump.

In 47 games (23 starts), Simpson recorded 21 passes defensed and seven interceptions.
