New York Jets facing incredibly unusual start to training camp image

The New York Jets of recent vintage haven't often seemed like they have everything in order.

That's what makes the upcoming start to Jets training camp on Tuesday especially weird: Things are calm.

There's no controversy, no contract worry, no major injury.

This is how The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt sums it up:

The Wilson and Gardner extensions could've lingered, given the money involved.

Taylor could've been tougher to deal with, given the recent trend of second-round picks who waited for more guaranteed money.

Injuries have also crushed the Jets in recent years.

But somehow, none of those concerns have arisen yet.

Jets fans know not to get too optimistic. There might always be something around the corner.

But right now, on the eve of training camp, all is good, and that's quite abnormal.
