Micah Parsons could be another franchise's savior.
The Dallas Cowboys' superstar pass rusher has requested a trade. Negotiations on a contract extension have apparently gone nowhere, and Parsons wrote on social media, "I no longer want to be here."
Other NFL teams, obviously, have taken notice.
It's not clear whether the Cowboys would actually trade Parsons, but if they would? Everyone would want a part of that.
The Athletic came up with a few possible destinations for Parsons, and one is the New York Jets.

Their proposal is Parsons being traded for Breece Hall, Jermaine Johnson, two second-round picks and a third-round pick.
"The Jets are not exactly in a position to be trading first-round picks, though the prospect of adding the caliber of player of Parsons is tempting," writes Zack Rosenblatt. "The Jets are prioritizing young players as they turn the page on the previous regime — and Parsons is still only 26, plays a premium position and would provide star power for a team that is lacking it outside of Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson.
"Yes, they would have to turn around and pay Parsons the money he’s seeking — but it would be worth it in this case. I came up with a package without any firsts but it’s still pretty hefty: The Cowboys get two talented young players at positions of need. Hall is in the last year of his deal while Johnson has another year left on his rookie deal and Dallas defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton (with the Jets previously) knows what he’s capable of — he made the Pro Bowl two years ago. He’s no Parsons, but he has the potential to keep getting better with time and development. The Jets are very high on Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis at running back so while losing Hall would hurt, it wouldn’t ruin their offensive plans to run the ball more."

As Rosenblatt suggests, the real biggest hurdle here is paying Parsons after acquiring him.
Not only will it take a big package to get him, but then there's a $200 million kind of contract awaiting him.
Parsons is worth that, though, whether the Cowboys think so or not.
And maybe he can be the Jets' savior.
