New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is going to have a lot more money in his bank account in the years to come.

According to several reports, Wilson and the Jets agreed to a four-year, $130 million contract extension, which comes ahead of the fourth year of his rookie contract.

There was some doubt about Wilson's future in New York after he was reportedly not thrilled with how things went down during the brief Aaron Rodgers era, but the Jets wisely made sure to lock him up for the long haul.

On Tuesday morning, Wilson took to X to share his reaction to the deal.

"Yup, Jets green has been running through me since the day they drafted me. Despite the ups and downs, the faith is mutual… that means the world to me," he wrote. "Excited to start a new version of the chase next week."

Wilson is referring to the start of Jets training camp, which will see veterans report on July 22.

The extension for Wilson is well-deserved.

Despite the fact that he has had to deal with poor quarterback play over the first three seasons of his career, Wilson has still managed to tally over 1,000 yards in each campaign, including a career-high 1,104 in 2024.

Wilson and the Jets are turning the page to a new chapter at quarterback with Justin Fields, who will look to finally cement himself as a franchise quarterback in New York, something he didn't do in Chicago or Pittsburgh.

Of course, Wilson and Fields are already quite familiar with one another after they were teammates at Ohio State. That should lead to instant chemistry and perhaps a career-best showing from Wilson.
