The New York Giants went all-in on rebuilding their quarterback room this offseason. Veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston were signed in free agency, and the team spent a first-round pick on Jaxson Dart.

While the majority of Giants fans are most excited about Dart's eventual NFL debut, it's Wilson who will be charged with manning the QB1 role until he proves he shouldn't have the gig anymore.

Wilson could conceivably be Big Blue's starter all season and give Dart a true redshirt rookie year. Or, he could crash and burn and force Dart into the starting lineup before he's ready.

According to a new prediction of every team's biggest bust for the 2025 NFL season, it's the latter scenario that's projected.

"There didn't seem to be a lot of interest in Wilson this offseason, which is unsurprising after he faded down the stretch with the Pittsburgh Steelers," Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox wrote. "It felt like the Giants were bidding against themselves to land the 36-year-old, and they're unlikely to get a strong return on investment.

"If Wilson even wins the starting job out of training camp, don't expect him to make New York a playoff contender or make fans forget that Dart is waiting in the wings."

There isn't much debate about whether Wilson will be the New York Giants' starting quarterback when training camp breaks. He will be the QB1. The only question remaining is how long he'll serve in that role. While he didn't inspire much confidence during his one season in Pittsburgh (or his time in Denver before that), Wilson still possesses quality QB traits that, perhaps, can be unlocked under coach Brian Daboll.

Or, maybe Dart will be tossing dimes by Week 4.
