Even with the off-season acquisition of Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots are still desperate for a premier WR1.

Both Kayshon Boutte and Pop Douglas have impressed in camp, with rookie Kyle Williams having moments of brilliance, but the lack of a true vertical threat could hinder the offense's explosiveness.

Drake Maye flashed traits of an elite gunslinger in his first year under center, but inserting a top-flight pass catcher into the mix could fast-track his development.

Disgruntled Washington Commanders star Terry McLaurin has been a popular name floated by the media, but what about an inter-division rival who could be searching for a new home?

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox suggested the Miami Dolphins should part ways with All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill, which could give New England some speed in their passing attack, which is sorely lacking.

"The Dolphins have cooled considerably over the last year, and it'll be a surprise if they become title contenders in 2025," Knox wrote. "Moving Hill, who turned 31 in March, would make a lot of sense. He's still a difference-making receiver when healthy, but he probably doesn't have a future in Miami after his contract expires in 2026. The Dolphins should try getting what they can for the aging speedster while they can."

Even with an AFC East tax, the Patriots' cost for acquiring Hill on the backend of his career would be reasonable. Something like a depth piece and a third-rounder should get the deal to the finish line.

A duo of Hill and Diggs doesn't necessarily match the team's timeline, but having two veterans who know how to win will only benefit Maye's growth as a passer and leader.
