We are in the midst of the NFL Draft process and there is a lot going on. One of those elements is each school having their pro day for their draft-eligible players. On Friday, the University of Michigan had theirs and it sparked some controversy online.

NFL fans meltdown over former GM praising simple J.J. McCarthy throw

ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum is a former general manager for both the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets along with being the owner of The 33rd Team. He often appears on the ESPN programs Get Up and NFL Live to share his opinions on the game he has spent most of his life involved with.

On Friday afternoon ahead of quarterback J.J. McCarthy participating in the Michigan pro day, Tannenbaum shared a clip of McCarthy's to highlight why he believes McCarthy is a top-five pick.

Unfortunately for Tannenbaum, this is a relatively simple throw and read when running quick game. Sure it came on fourth down, but it's not complex and should be hit by every NFL-caliber quarterback.

The tweet from Tannenbaum had Twitter melting down about him praising a simple play.
