When Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins took the podium for the first time, he flat out admitted to speaking with team officials during the legal tampering period. Even though its called the legal tampering period, teams aren't allowed to players but only agents.
Well, that's not how the Falcons ended up going about things, as they were caught not just tampering with Cousins, but two other players as well.
The NFL is docking the #Falcons a 2025 fifth-round pick for violating the league’s anti-tampering policy with Kirk Cousins, Darnell Mooney and Charlie Woerner. The team is also being fined $250,000 and GM Terry Fontenot is being fined $50,000.

The Minnesota Vikings don't get anything from this and it shouldn't be that much of a surprise. The league wasn't going to be the ones who gave the Vikings a draft pick.
The lack of punishment from the NFL has many both in the media and fans furious, especially since it won't be a deterrent.
