The Miami Dolphins will be an interesting team to watch as the season progresses, but challenges lie ahead due to injuries and uncertainty. The main hope is that the team’s toxic culture doesn’t resurface during tough times.

“Except this isn't a one-year issue with Miami. Set aside the iffy football decisions, like Grier's inability to field a stable offensive line or properly manage high-profile salaries over the course of a nine-year tenure featuring exactly zero playoff victories. Just from a culture perspective, Miami has been the NFL equivalent of an accident -- a controversy, a feud, a drama -- waiting to happen,” CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin wrote.

A potential signing to bolster the defensive line could be veteran Matthew Judon, who visited the team on Monday, and there seems to be a mutual interest.

“The Miami Dolphins are looking to add some pass-rush help. The team is reportedly hosting veteran pass rusher Matthew Judon on a visit on Monday, according to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz. The same report indicates both sides are motivated to get a deal done,” SI’s Dante Collinelli wrote.

Judon played for the Falcons last season, but his performance was disappointing. Even though Judon’s individual season was underwhelming, the Falcons’ pass rush as a whole struggled as well.

“The Atlanta Falcons attempted to upgrade their pass rush in 2024 by acquiring outside linebacker Matthew Judon in a trade with the New England Patriots. The team gave up a third-round pick for the veteran edge rusher, but he had minimal impact last season. The Falcons ranked 31st in the NFL with 31 defensive sacks recorded,” Falcons Wire’s Matt Urben wrote.

Judon would be a solid addition to the Dolphins’ defensive line, though the signing likely won’t drastically change the team’s winning prospects. For Judon, however, this could be a “prove-it” year that revitalizes his career. With mutual interest on both sides, a contract agreement seems likely soon.
