The Los Angeles Chargers couldn't have been happier with the way fifth-round pick Tarheeb Still and he's now been rewarded by the league. On Thursday, it was announced that Still has been chosen as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Still was the biggest reason why the Chargers were able to escape Atlanta with a victory in Week 13 as he intercepted two passes from Kirk Cousins, taking one of those back for a touchdown. He also had a huge play toward the end of the game, breaking up a pass to Drake London that would have put the Falcons in prime position to win the game.
Without the plays from Still, the Chargers would have likely lost that game.

The fifth-round pick out of Maryland (No. 137 overall) Still showing himself to be a solid potential piece of the Chargers' future. In nine games this season, he has 23 total tackles, three interceptions and a half of a sack.
He was taken behind Cam Hart in the fifth round but he has moved his way up the depth chart for a team that needed players to step up at the cornerback position this season.
Winning Defensive Player of the Week honors gives him some great momentum to finish his rookie season on a huge note.
