The Kansas City Chiefs have a conceptually deep wide receiver group.
It'll be a bit thinner early in the season with Rashee Rice facing a suspension from the NFL.
And even the guys that make it onto the field in the early going might have some bumps and bruises.
At Tuesday's Kansas City Chiefs training camp, three of their key wideouts dealt with injuries all at once.
Head coach Andy Reid revealed the situation to reporters afterward:
- Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown has an ankle injury
- Skyy Moore has a hamstring injury
- Xavier Worthy banged his head
The good news: Worthy eventually came back to practice, meaning he was cleared of any head injury concerns.
Worthy is likely set to see the most WR targets in the Kansas City offense for any stretch of time that Rice misses.

Brown is another guy who probably sees a bigger role in Rice's absence.
Moore, a former exciting draft pick, probably needs to get back on the field sooner rather than later. He's no longer a given to make the roster after multiple seasons of underwhelming production.
If any of these guys are forced to miss time, it could be big news for Jalen Royals. The talented rookie has a bright future ahead of him, but right now, the depth chart is a little crowded. If injuries clear out an opening, it might be Royals who steps in and helps the Chiefs win football games.
