2 ruled out, 11 others questionable for Jaguars vs. Titans in Week 14 image

Sunday’s matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville will feature a lot of what you might expect for a pair of teams with a combined 5-19 record entering Week 14.

A lot of banged-up players.

Both of these teams have been ravaged by injuries this season. Jacksonville placed quarterback Trevor Lawrence on season-ending injured reserve this week, joining a group that includes wide receivers Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis. The Titans, meanwhile, have 14 total players on IR and had an additional 14 names listed on this week’s practice report with various ailments.

Sunday’s matchup of AFC South bottom feeders could come down to who’s in and who’s ruled out. Here’s a full team-by-team injury breakdown, with the latest updates off of Friday’s practice reports:

Jaguars vs. Titans: Full injury designations

Jacksonville Jaguars

Questionable

  • P Logan Cooke (knee)

Cooke is dealing with an issue with his left knee, resting it all week. Cooke has probably been Jacksonville’s most consistent player in 2024. He’s one of two punters in football averaging over 51 yards per punt and is on the radar for his first Pro Bowl nod. Jacksonville signed punter Matt Haack to its practice squad on Tuesday in the event Cooke misses the game.

  • CB Tyson Campbell (thigh)

Campbell has been in and out of the lineup all season with various muscle and leg injuries. One positive in this lost season is that Jacksonville has been able to give young corners like Montaric Brown and rookie Jarrian Jones plenty of run. Brown, who started five games earlier in the season, would be the next man up if Campbell can’t go.

  • LS Ross Matiscik (hamstring)

Jacksonville’s top long snapper is dealing with a hamstring injury, which he tested out during Friday’s practice. Potentially being down both a punter and long snapper is not ideal. Recent practice squad addition Tucker Addington would likely be the next man up if Matiscik is ruled out.

  • LB Yasir Abdullah (hamstring)

Abdullah, a second-year reserve linebacker, is seeking his first game action since Week 10. He seems unlikely for this week, as he was unable to upgrade to full practice participation.

Tennessee Titans

Out

  • OG Logan Bruss (knee)

Tennessee’s backup to Peter Skoronski at left guard reportedly suffered a torn ACL during Thursday’s practice. He hadn’t played meaningful snaps on offense since Week 5, but this is an unfortunate hit to Tennessee’s offensive line depth.

  • OT Jaelyn Duncan (hamstring)

The second-year reserve offensive tackle is nearing a return from injured reserve, it just won’t be on Sunday. Duncan practiced in full all three days this week. He figures to be activated next week.

Questionable

  • CB Roger McCreary (shoulder)

Tennessee’s starting nickel was unable to practice at all this week due to a shoulder injury. The cornerback room is banged up overall, with L'Jarius Sneed (quad) recently landing on injured reserve. The Titans could be down to undrafted rookie Gabe Jeudy-Lally or special teamer Tre Avery at the position, depending on Sunday's inactives list.

  • CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. (hip)

Brownlee has been a bright spot this season as a fifth-round draft pick out of Louisville. He’s been the starter opposite Darrell Baker Jr. over the second half of the season and played a career-high 82 snaps against Washington last week. His availability is in doubt after downgrading from limited to DNP on Friday.

  • LB Kenneth Murray Jr. (hamstring)

Murray, the Titans starting middle linebacker all season, played 73 snaps against the Commanders last week but was unable to practice due to a hamstring issue.

  • LB Jerome Baker (neck)

Baker, a starting inside linebacker the past two weeks, popped up on the injury report with a neck injury on Thursday and missed Friday’s practice. Baker came to Tennessee along with a draft pick in the trade that sent LB Ernest Jones to the Seattle Seahawks.

  • LB James Williams (knee)

Williams has been a special teams player for the Titans this season, but he could get his first defensive snaps of the season if either Murray or Baker can’t go.

  • DT T'Vondre Sweat (shoulder)

The Titans could be down their starting nose tackle, as Sweat was not spotted at any practices this week. The second-round rookie has shown promise this season, starting all but one game to date. Second-year pro Keondre Coburn could see extended run in Sweat’s potential absence.

  • OT Leroy Watson IV (back)

Watson, who’s struggled in four spot starts this season, should be available Sunday after practicing in full on back-to-back days.
