The Indianapolis Colts have two solid starting safeties.
But they could use some depth behind Camryn Bynum and Nick Cross, writes ESPN's Aaron Schatz.
He suggests they sign Justin Simmons.
Simmons was a starter for Atlanta in 2024 and made second-team All-Pro in 2023.
"Simmons would also give Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo the ability to play three-safety packages," writes Schatz.

The best part of Simmons, though?
He has Patrick Mahomes' number.
The long-time Broncos star has intercepted the Chiefs legend six times.
Simmons is a great interceptor in general. He has 32 across his nine NFL seasons, and has never had a season with fewer than two.
The disruptive safety will turn 32 in November, but the Colts don't need a forever answer at the safety position. They just need some proven depth.
Nobody else has intercepted Mahomes that much. That's as much proof a team could ever need that Simmons is worth a shot.
