The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons preseason contest ended early on Friday due to a scary injury to defensive back Morice Norris.

The Lions safety suffered the injury while trying to make a tackle in the fourth quarter. Norris' head snapped back on the play and he didn't get up after the whistle was blown.

Norris was taken on ambulance, and was blinking, so that's a great sign. Both teams agreed to run out the rest of the game clock, and the contest was eventually suspended.

The NFL world sent their prayers to Norris after the scary injury.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell gave a positive update on Norris' status at a press conference, stating that Norris is breathing, talking, and moving. Just a scary situation and we send our thoughts and prayers to Norris and his family.
