The Denver Broncos came out swinging against the favored Buffalo Bills on Sunday. On their first possession of the game, NFL history was made.

Much was made of the team selecting Oregon teammates Bo Nix and Troy Franklin in this year's draft, but they never seemed to create the same connection that they had in college. However, that wasn't the case on Sunday when Nix hit Franklin with this 43-yard touchdown pass to quiet the Buffalo crowd.

This play was the first time in NFL history that a rookie quarterback threw a touchdown pass to a rookie wide receiver in the playoffs.

It was an explosive start for the Broncos, and one few would have predicted as Franklin caught just 28 passes and scored only two touchdowns this season.
