Shedeur Sanders' true value earns stunning announcement from Browns reporter image

Perhaps one day, the real reason for Shedeur Sanders falling to the 144th pick will come out.

However, for now, it isn't something that Sanders or the Cleveland Browns can worry about. The Browns might have gotten a first-round caliber player for a steal of a price.

They shouldn't be upset.

If there's been one organization searching for a quarterback for much of its existence, it's Cleveland.

But Sanders still has plenty to prove, and he seems to understand that.

Not only has he said the right things during his time with the Browns, but there's plenty he has to consider over the next few months. Does he want to buy into the talk of the offseason? Does he want to go out and prove to everybody that he's good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL?

All signs point to him winning the job if he's given the chance, which is expected.

According to a Browns reporter, no one he's spoken with in the draft or media world said Sanders should've fallen the way he did. He added that he's a first—or second-round quarterback, with many that he would've been gone before the second round.

"There isn't a single person I've talked to in the draft media world or the NFL world in my various contacts – a lot of people come through our building – that didn't have him as a first or second-round quarterback on tape," Nathan Zegura said to Bill Bender of Sporting News. "In fact, those who said the second round – it was the early second round."

His stats at Colorado proved the same thing, and so did his tape.

However, there were outside factors with Sanders due to his father, Deion Sanders. That isn't fair to the young man, or Deion, for that matter.

Regardless, it's time to show up and prove doubters wrong.
