The Cleveland Browns continue to fight through injuries at the quarterback position. Both Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel are nursing hamstring injuries and are unlikely to play, and freshly signed Tyler Huntley will only have travel time before joint practices on Wednesday. With that comes the opportunity for Shedeur Sanders to start in his first NFL preseason game.
Flacco and the first team will get most of their reps in joint practices, and then Sanders will get his look on Friday night.
Panthers coach Dave Canales shared that starters would play on Friday vs. the Browns, while Kevin Stefanski has remained quiet on his plans. To get the best judgment of Sanders, it would be great to see him out there with a few first-team players.
