The Cleveland Browns enter the first full week of training camp with four quarterbacks battling for one starting position. To this point, it's been the talk of the media and in a recent article, ESPN's Dan Graziano breaks down who he sees winning the quarterback competition in Cleveland.
It’s clear that Andrew Berry will leave no rock unturned with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders all battling for one spot. But Graziano brings up a solid point, having four contenders limits reps for everyone, will that hurt the rookies (Gabriell and Sanders)?
The conclusion was that Pickett would be the winner. Not the popular choice by most fans who watched Joe Flacco take this team to the playoffs two years ago, but the Browns worked the hardest to get Pickett after learning that Deshaun Watson would most likely miss the 2025 season from a second Achilles tendon injury.
The most recent hamstring injury that will keep Pickett sidelined for at least a week will open the window for someone else to sneak in, but only time will tell if someone takes advantage of the opportunity.
