The quarterback battle between Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders is on the forefront of all Cleveland Browns fans' minds as we enter the week in which the NFL schedule will be released. However, the Browns have signed a new safety in the form of a former Pittsburgh Steeler.
Cleveland has signed Damontae Kazee. The length of the deal is yet to be known at the time of writing, but Kazee is joining the Browns after three years with the Steelers.
The hard-hitting safety was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons where he appeared in all 16 games for three straight years from 2017-19. He joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and then signed with the Steelers in 2022. he led the NFL in interceptions in 2018 with seven.
The Steelers singed former Browns safety Juan Thornhill earlier this offseason, so the team's basically swapped safeties when all is said and done.
