The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off their preseason with a productive outing against the Philadelphia Eagles. While they didn't get the win on the scoreboard, their starters got quality work done, including two Joe Burrow touchdown passes.
On Sunday, though, the Bengals had a notable absence from practice that wasn't previously expected. Second-year wideout Jermaine Burton wasn't on the practice field on Sunday, and the details are yet to be known.
“Jermaine Burton missed practice due to an undisclosed injury," the team said in a statement. "He is day-to-day."
Burton was the team's third-round pick in 2024, but only caught four passes on the season. Attitude problems were perceived as a big reason for his slip in the draft.
